Federation Football Rule Change 2019
The advent of high school’s 40-Second Play Clock is the most significant challenge for officials since we first introduced the Personal Ready-Ref is 1979 to assist them when visible clocks are not available.
Our Model 1128 Football Timer was developed when NCAA adopted this rule and relies on the referee to administer the reset to 25 seconds.
In response to feedback from some NFHS officials wanting the back judge to administer the reset to 25 seconds, we are introducing the Model 1132 with both 25 and 30 second pre-warning vibrations.
If you’d like to update your Ready-Ref Timers for this new rule, here’s how:
Personal Timers
If your serial number is 1100001 or higher (purchased since October 2011), we will convert the timing for $20, plus $9 for return shipping. (If you live in Ohio, there will be an additional $1.45 tax.)
If your serial number is lower than 1100001 (purchased before October 2011), we will replace the circuit board for $50, plus $9 for return shipping. (If you live in Ohio, there will be an additional $3.63 tax.)
